2. Data we collect
- Contact details: name, email, phone number, hotel or address where you are staying, language and country of residence, when you contact us through the form, WhatsApp, email or phone.
- Request details: the reason for your request or any information you choose to share so we can coordinate your care. Please do not send detailed medical information through the web form; our team will collect it securely during your care.
- Insurance or assistance details: insurer, policy or case number, when needed to coordinate coverage.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages visited, through cookies and analytics tools (see section 7).
- Blog comments: name, email and comment text. Comments are reviewed before being published.
3. How we use your data
- To respond to your request and coordinate medical care (visits at your hotel, villa or residence, telemedicine, transfers or referral to healthcare facilities).
- To manage coverage with your insurer or assistance company, when you request it.
- To comply with applicable legal and health regulations in the Dominican Republic.
- To improve the operation and security of the website.
We do not sell or rent your personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Legal basis
We process your data with your consent, to provide the service you request and to comply with legal obligations, in accordance with the Dominican Republic’s Organic Law No. 172-13 on Personal Data Protection and General Health Law No. 42-01. For visitors from the European Union, we also apply the principles of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
5. Who we share your data with
- Physicians and healthcare professionals involved in your care.
- Clinics, hospitals, laboratories or ambulance services to which you may need to be referred.
- Your insurer or assistance company, only when you authorize it or when it is necessary for coverage.
- Technology providers that host the website and email (for example, web hosting and Microsoft 365), under confidentiality obligations.
- Competent authorities, when required by law.
6. Retention and security
We keep data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described and in line with the retention periods required by health regulations. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures (SSL encryption, restricted access and staff confidentiality) to protect your information.
