General Practitioner — Home and Hotel Medical Care

At On Call Medical Assistance we are looking for general practitioners with sound clinical judgment, a strong service vocation and fluent English to provide personalized care to local and international patients in hotels, villas and private residences.

We are expanding our network of professionals in Punta Cana, Bávaro, Puerto Plata, Santiago and other locations across the Dominican Republic. Services will be coordinated according to each physician’s location and availability.

Responsibilities

• Carry out in-person consultations, assess patients, establish diagnoses and prescribe the appropriate treatment.
• Administer medications, IV hydration and other procedures within your professional scope, when clinically indicated.
• Explain the treatment, care instructions and warning signs to patients and their companions.
• Write a report for each consultation, documenting the assessment, treatment and recommendations.
• Coordinate follow-up and referral to a healthcare facility with the assistance team when appropriate.
• Follow care protocols and keep patient information confidential.

Requirements

• Medical degree (Doctor of Medicine).
• Exequatur and registration with the Colegio Médico Dominicano, with up-to-date professional documentation.
• At least one year of clinical experience.
• English required, with the ability to conduct a consultation and explain medical instructions.
• Own vehicle and availability to make visits in your area.
• Good communication and organizational skills, and an empathetic approach to patients.

Engagement and fees

Independent professional services, with fees per consultation and additional payment for clinically indicated procedures performed, according to the rates and conditions agreed during the selection process.
